Being a vegan can suck. This happens when you travel in the midwest. My partner in crime, Ian, and I did not eat a full meal for 48 hours prior to finding Queen of Sheba, near The Loop in St. Louis. They had an entirely vegan Ethiopian plate. Oh. My. God.
AFI (and, for that matter, any band with vegans and vegetarians) can have a pretty difficult time traveling and eating well. For example, in Tulsa, the day before, there was literally only one restaurant anywhere nearby that had food for us to eat.

I'm very happy you were able to find a decent vegan meal in St. Louis, especially after your experience in Tulsa! Of course I'm sure the options are nothing like LA, but it's good to know that at least STL is cultured enough in the midwest to have options for vegans and vegetarians. The Loop area is great for that! I'm not personally vegan but damn this is making my mouth water looking at it! Mmm food porn. I haven't eaten a proper meal today can you tell?
