What do classic Alfred Hitchcock thrillers, towering Christian Louboutin heels, and Swarovski encrusted corsets have in common? This NYFW, the answer was The Blonds. The fierce fashion duo brought their game this season, and it was killer. Quite literally. The inspiration was clearly Hitchcockian (did you catch Jack Nicholson's iconic image from 'The Shining' plastered on a corset?). Theatrical is an understatement, but so is genius. I am forever amazed by The Blonds' talent to pair fantastical inspiration with high fashion. Who else could get away with a nude-hued leather corset/pencil skirt combo slashed with dripping red crystals and beading? Not many.
