One of my favorite EASY holiday snacks is Baked Chex mix! I have been making it as a kid, it's so easy and so tasty! Also great to make up a huge batch and give in little box's as gifts.
This can be made VEGAN, GLUTEN FREE, OR REGULAR!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
3cups Corn Chex cereal
3cups Rice Chex cereal
1cup mixed nuts1cup bite-size pretzels (spelt, or gluten free optional)
1cup garlic-flavor bite-size bagel chips or regular-size bagel chips, broken into 1-inch pieces6
1/2 cup soynuts (I add these)6 tablespoons butter (earth balance for vegans, great butter substitute)
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2teaspoons seasoned salt
3/4teaspoon garlic powder
1/2teaspoon onion powder
Oven Directions Heat oven to 250°F. In large bowl, mix cereals, nuts, pretzels and bagel chips; set aside. In ungreased large roasting pan, melt butter in oven. Stir in seasonings. Gradually stir in cereal mixture until evenly coated. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool, about 15 minutes. Store in airtight container.
