What is your favorite part of the VMAs? (performances, surprises, collaborations, fashion etc)?

I think for me its the ad-libbing and fashion! I love when stars push the buttons and envelopes with things they weren't suppose to say, and who doesn't love to see what everyone wore!

Hard to say, Gotye f/Kimbra is the best song here but MIA and Katy Perry's videos are more eye catching and I guess thats what this is about. Lets go with Katy!

If you were to attend the VMAs this year what would you wear? 

I actually have been to almost every award show BUT the VMAS.. probably something futuristic and sparkly with a 20s glam style hair/ makeup!

Who would you take as your dream date to the VMAs?

Can I take Peeta from The Hunger Games if he was real, Ryan Gosling, Matthew Gray Gubler and RPATZ for fun.

 A favorite memory from a past VMA show?

I think Lady Gaga being super crazy and hosting as her alter ego man side was pretty hard to top!

Emma Watson is looking amazing on both the US & UK October 2012 issues of Glamour magazine! Apprently its VERY rare for a star to be on double covers of the same magazine at the same time! 

Can I just say im so exicited for Perks Of Being A Wallflower to come out! Emma Is the perfect actress for the film. That was my favorite book as a teenager, if you haven't read it yet hurry up and do it before film comes out!

Im sitting in a hotel in CA in my underwear expected to be dressed and picked up by a car service in less then an hour. I read about the blue moon and astrology while in the bath tub last night and ordered room service in bed. This is the first time I have had a few minutes to myself in weeks. Im on power over drive in the strangest way. So many projects and work stuff going on it's hard to keep my head straight. Im not complaining by any means, just trying to stay grounded in the crazyness! I fly home on a red eye Monday night and have 24 hours to unpack, repack, get accupuncture, run errands and get to Fashion Week in NYC. Im going to go drink lemon water in the shower, listen to Robyn, and attempt to be photo resntable in 30 minutes! I will touch base in NYC next week.

The first look at Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers starring James Franco, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens has finally arrived! As morbid as it may sound Harmony Korines movies were a huge part of my teen life. I probably shouldn't have been watching them or even as slighly obsessed as I was being the dark and disterbing nature most of his films have.

His new one Spring Breakers is cast with a Disney crew, how taboo!

Weave Tricks: DIY Side Braid with Audrey Kitching

For years we have been obsessing over model and fashion maven Audrey Kitching’s wavy pink locks. A near guru of extensions, we’ve seen Audrey rock every weave-worthy hairstyle imaginable all with cotton candy sweetness, and a touch of bohemian flair. Hair extensions may seem fussy, but Audrey wears her’s loose, flowing, and easygoing, making good weave—pink or not—look like a piece of cake! Below Audrey shares the tricks behind her self described “Joan of Arc meets Barbie” messy side braid hairstyle.

The trick to this style is a layered cut. I ask my hairdresser to layer my front extensions to give them a natural look, and then blend up the back with more subtle layering. That way, when I pull my braid to one side I’ll get shorter layers falling around my face giving it that messy look.

I use Big Sexy Hair Powder Play on my roots. It builds volume, and gives my hair a coarser texture to match the extensions. A beach spray comes in handy to use on the actual extensions. It breaks the hair up a little bit and makes it look like you’ve slept on it.

To start, I normally use four 18-inch long two-inch wide clip-in extensions. I place two in back, and one on either side. If your hair is thicker, you may need to up it to two on either side to match the density.

I pull my hair down to one side and do a typical braid, but I’ll braid it really tight and fasten it with a hair band. Then I pull the loose pieces at the end apart to push the hairband up and loosen the braid. I pull out little layered pieces all down the braid to make it look undone, and then pull the hair band back down, tightening it again.

I use braiding rubber bands that you can find at beauty stores. I like that they come in clear, as well as neon colors. After I finish my braid I’ll wrap a tiny piece of the extension around the band and tuck it in to hide it.

Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber were chosen as the face of the new NYC Fashion Night Out video to take place on September 6th! I think it's pretty cute, and I will be there for sure!
