Last night I finally got around to watching the film Melancholia. Everyone I watched it with said it was so depressing and negitive. Im normally the person to say that, who is mostly unable to watch these kind of films. For some strange reason I felt relatable to Kristen Dunst's character and loved the film. I have gotten very sick and thought I was going to die and also thought the world was ending ... that sounds really crazy but in the time I could sympathise. My mind doesn't really function like that anymore thank god. If you haven't heard of the film here is a short explaination of the idea behind it...

"The idea for the film originated during a therapy session Lars von Trier attended during treatments for his depression. A therapist had told Trier that depressive people tend to act more calmly than others under heavy pressure, because they already expect bad things to happen. Trier then developed the story not primarily as a disaster film, and without any ambition to portray astrophysics realistically, but as a way to examine the human psyche during a disaster."

I have been spending lots of my time at the Stefan Sagmeister exhibition at the ICA in Philly whenever im in town. If you get the chance you HAVE to see it. So inspiring and ground breaking in so many ways. I went to a seminar there yesterday about happiness and marketing. Really intresting stuff.

Latley I have been wondering why so many random people in my life have been jerks and kinda whishy washy with me. I woke up this this horoscope email and it all started to make sense! Some of you may be able to relate!

My design deadlines are getting closer and closer. Lot's of finalizing concepts and ideas this week. I have a few magazine editorial's coming up as well as some look book shoots. Im starting to feel like im coming down with the flu and have my last wisdom tooth extraction on Friday. I kinda just want a week off full of hiking, reiki, chinese cupping, meditation, yoga, naps and tea. Hoping in June I can make this happen!

Gypsy cold care tea, heating pads, epsom salt baths and lavender candles are helping me cope and get some work done!

What is your go to remedy for feeling crappy when you can't rest?

People are far from my favorite creatures on this planet. I know we are all one energy and connected, but some of you make me embarrassed to be in the same realm. There is this recurring lesson I continue to learn through my life over and over. Im finally starting to take something from it. You can not count on other people. I know this sounds really negitive and depressing... I guess it kinda is. From every aspect of my life when I start to lose 100% of my independance and put it into someone else it only back fires. My best advice for you is to be 100% independent from every angle possible. You can not count on people to be there for you, you can not count on someone else to make you feel better or help you reach a goal. If you only count on yourself you'll never be let down.

Im trying to understand why people say things they don't mean? Don't come into someone's life and say what sounds good at the moment. Words are your most powerful weapond and if you use them wrong you will have to pay for their consequences at some point. I don't say things I don't mean. I don't understand what the point in that is. Actions speak louder then words. You have to draw the line and jump at some point.

Law Of Attraction doesn't always work if you hold onto things that shouldn't be in your energy anymore. You can't be nice and go out of your way for people all the time if you only surround yourself with assholes.

Im working really hard to finish my books and get my collections made for the S/S 2013 showcase in Vegas this summer. I have a few magazine interview's and editorial to shoot in the next few week's as well as trips to Miami, LA and Toranto.

I just read about this new iphone application that you program the type of dream you want before bed and it syncs with your REM sleep pattern to help create it! This is next level right here! Insane... Im definitely going to give this a try. My only negitive thought is you must keep the iphone turned on by your bed. I turn all electronics off and move them out of my room during sleep because of the EMF'S.

My friend Marimoon who is MTV's VJ in Brazil recently launched a nail polish collection and she just sent me samples! They are AMAZING... all metallic shades (which is going to be huge this fall!)
